General Announcements • DAF/IHE White Paper Now Available for Public Comment • “A Data Access Framework Using IHE Profiles” is now available for public comment through April 27, 2014 • The document is available for download at http://www.ihe.net/Public_Comment/#pcc • Comments can be submitted through the online form located here http://www.ihe.net/PCC_Public_Comments/ • Comments submitted by April 27, 2014 will be considered by the IHE PCC Technical Committee in developing the final version of the white paper • Data Element Based Technical SWG • To launch on Monday, April 14th • Reoccurring weekly from 10:00-11:00am (EDT) • More details to come through the DAF listserv • DAF SWG: Exploring Direct as a Candidate Standard • E-mail announcement has been sent to the Committed Members polling the level of interest to begin this SWG, deadline for response is Friday, April 4, 2014

DAF Candidate Standards Analysis CONTINUED • Patient Consent Requirements • Some Queries which are accessing sensitive information that require explicit patient consent before being disclosed • What options exist to capture consent in a structured manner ? • IHE BPPC is already discussed with the IHE White Paper. • So we will focus on other related standards (DS4P) and their maturity • What are the options that exist to provide Consent via SOAP and RESTful Query stacks ? • What is the current state of the standards and their adoption in the real-world including pilot efforts • How does the model work with FHIR resources ?
