  1. CREDIT RECOVERY PROGRAM “Success for All”

  2. What is Credit Recovery? • Offers courses delivered in half-credit segments • Provides “credit recovery” for students who have not been successful in an academic course • Offers On-line curriculum • with individualized instruction, intervention and remediation

  3. Who qualifies for Credit Recovery? • Any student within the Six District Educational Compact for the first year. • Any student who has failed a one-half credit- based portion of an academic course and who wishes to retake coursework for credit.

  4. How do I register? • Registration and orientation on Tuesdays only, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. • Must register on site at Schnee Learning Center • Return the following forms prior to starting course • Student transcript • Signed “Intent to Participate Form” from principal/counselor at high school • Emergency Medical Form • Signed Code of Conduct signature page • $95 payment

  5. How much does it cost? • $95 per half-credit ($190 for entire course) • Refunds • Full if withdrawn prior to the start of class • 50% if withdrawn after the first day of class • None after the second day of class

  6. When and how do I attend? • Tutoring in Rooms 143 • Tuesday 3:30 to 5:30—registration on this day only • Thursday 3:30 to 5:30 • Courses must be completed in six weeks or less • Work online from a remote site • Computers with high-speed internet access

  7. What Courses Are Offered? Each ½ credit is $95 Each ½ credit is $95 American History Principles of Democracy World History Biology Chemistry Health Earth & Space Physical Science & Integrated Chemistry Physics PE Statistics • Algebra 1 • Algebra 2 • Calculus • Pre-Algebra • Pre-Calculus • Geometry • Language Arts 9 • Language Arts 10 • Language Arts 11 • Language Arts 12

  8. What happens when I finish? • Certificate of Completion • Issued by Schnee • Once course requirements met • Certificate with Schnee’s “official seal” presented to the principal/counselor at his/her high school • District school’s counselor is responsible to record credit on transcript

  10. Can I lose credits or fees? • Yes! • If suspended from the Program for student code of conduct violations
