    11. What are Interactive Science Notebooks? A student thinking tool An organizer for inquiry question and what I learned… A way to access and process the learning utilizing various modalities (writing, drawing, and discussion) A means for all students to work at their level A place for writing rough drafts based on hands-on learning A formative assessment tool for teachers

    13. Purpose for Interactive Science Notebooks for Teachers: To identify evidence of student learning To identify students’ misconceptions To collect evidence of student growth over time To develop next steps for planning and teaching

    15. Example 1 Cover or Title Page Give your science notebook a title. This should give the reader an idea of what this notebook will be about.

Directions for CAB Notebook •Personalize cover-Have it represent YOU •On “cover” you need your name, Entry Level CAB, School District (digital option) •On first two pages, write “Table of Contents” on the top- have columns to list “Activity” and “Page” number. •Number in corner of pages after TOC up to 20 (continue as needed after that).

    22. The Mystery Inside Tubes: Investigate the tube and try to determine what is happening inside. Draw a claim of what is going on inside with evidence to support it.
