  3. Florida Association of Nepali Societies • Milestones/Activities • Bylaws completed within 3 months. • “FANS at your doorsteps” program with free screening of “Kusume Rumal 2” at Tampa and Miami. Other cities to follow. • “Sahayogi Sathi” program to help settle new residents in Florida.

  4. Florida Association of Nepali Societies • “Community Board” in FANS’ website lists business directory of Nepalese in Florida, community events, classifieds, and other events and attractions. • Fund raising to help Japan Tsunami victims. • Funds handed over to NRN-USA President Suman Timsina

  5. Florida Association of Nepali Societies • VOICE (“AWAAJ”) quarterly newsletter • 3 issues published: Jan, Apr, Jul • Local news, interviews • Literature, Chinari • Kids Corner • Cash award for solving crossword puzzle (for school children)

  6. Florida Association of Nepali Societies • “Explore Nepal” • Annual event to promote tourism in Nepal • Explore Nepal 2011 in Tampa on April 2, 2011 • H.E. Dr. Shankar P. Sharma, Chief Guest • Attended by more than 150 guests – both Nepalese and non-Nepalese.

  9. Florida Association of Nepali Societies • FANS VP Ms. Punam G. Risal and Mr. Baburam Adhakari from Jacksonville (FL District 4) attended the official launch of Nepal Caucus in the Capitol Hill on July 13, 2011. • FANS is actively pursuing working relationships with other regional and national level Nepalese organizations.
