Discussion Planes IS CHIVALRY DEAD?
You will be put into groups of 3: one pilot, 2 co-pilots I will show you 10 different statements that you will have to write down. You will have 2 minutes to discuss them with your crew and establish if you AGREE or DISAGREE. After 2 minutes, your pilot will discuss your answer with the other pilots. DiRECTIONS:
You cannot be “in the middle” about your answers. You can change your answer at any time. ONLY THE PILOT MAY SPEAK to the group. You can switch positions between rounds. This is a discussion and not a debate! It would be helpful to use real examples to provide support for your answers. READY? Things to consider:
2. Your Parents know what’s best for you, therefore you should stand by them.
3. You should defend your country if your country needs you. (think of a required draft in times of war).
6. If someone offends you, you should never act out in anger.
7. If you see something happening that is “wrong” it is your responsibility to act.
9. It is important for you to be generous and give to others whenever possible.
Choose one of the statements from today’s discussion to write a MEL-Con extended response explaining why you agreed or disagreed with evidence explaining why. Start noting people’s behavior around you. Is chivalry really dead or can it still be practiced and observed in today’s society? EXTENDED ASSIGNMENT:
