Why join us in Mexico? By studying marine animals in their natural habitat and viewing interactions between species, students can truly understand and appreciate marine life and the beauty and significance of the ocean. You will be able to:
Course Outline • This is a hybrid course with a study abroad component. • On campus once a week. • Online, 12 weeks of assignments
Day 1: Arrive to San Jose at Los Cabos-Group will be picked up at the airport and transferred to the hotel
Day 2: Morning and afternoon • We will travel to Puerto Lopez Mateos to do Whale watching and learn about their biology and natural history. Evening • We will stay overnight at eco-bungalows in Puerto Lopez Mateos following a seafood dinner.
Day 3: Morning and afternoon • Return by van to La Paz. Then travel by boat to Isla Partida and Espiritu Santo islands in Sea of Cortez. We will review the program and activities for day 4
Day 4: Morning Introduction and review to snorkeling and a visit to the Ensenada Grande Reef Afternoon Kayak trip to observe sea lion rookery Evening Reef ID presentations and recording Observations of marine species in field journal
Day 5: Morning Morning hike at El Cardonal Afternoon Snorkeling at the coral reef in El Corralito.
Day 6: Morning Travel by boat to Los Islotes Sea Lion Colony for snorkeling Afternoon Record observations of marine species in field journal
Day 7: Morning • Return by boat to La Paz. Afternoon • Cultural day. Hotel stay overnight in La Paz.

1. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION:Your name on the student application must completely match the name as it is or will be on your passport, including your middle name. We give the namethat you enter on your application to the travel provider for ticket issuance. If the name you provide to us does not exactly match the name on your passport, you may be denied boarding your flight, or the airline could charge you a large fee to re‐issue your tickets. The College is not responsible for errors or omissions of your name on the Study Abroad application.2. PASSPORT:If you already have a passport, include a copy of the ID page with your application. 1. For entry into Mexico, you must present a valid passport and either a round-trip ticket or proof of onward travel to another country.2. Travelers with passports that are found to be washed, mutilated, or damaged may be refused entry to Mexico.
