  6. OUR HISTORY • For the past 18 years Golfco has been producing replacement rollers for the golf industry. Golfco pioneered the use of innovative technology in its competition rollers with advantages found nowhere else

OVERHAUL KIT INSTRUCTIONS • (For Overhaul Kits # -2OH & 2OHSS) • All Competition Rollers are assembled with the following components in each roller end (in order of assembly). • PART NUMBERDESCRIPTION • A – 2BEARING/C Sealed ball bearing • B – 2SR625 Heavy duty snap ring • C – 2SEAL16 Collar seal with O-ring • D – 2VR625 Nitrile rubber V-ring (black) seals • E – 2WASHER-90 Hardened steel washer • F – 2RCLIP Exterior heavy duty lateral retaining clip • REMOVAL OF OLD COMPONENTS: • (On one end only - “END A”) • Remove the outer lateral retaining clip. • Remove the hardened steel washer (slides off end of shaft). • Remove the black rubber V-ring seal (located against the collar seal). • Remove the collar seal from inside the roller tube. • Remove the snap ring which is next to the bearing inner race.

REMOVAL OF OLD COMPONENTS: • (On one end only - “END A”) • Remove the outer lateral retaining clip. • Remove the hardened steel washer (slides off end of shaft). • Remove the black rubber V-ring seal (located against the collar seal). • Remove the collar seal from inside the roller tube. • Remove the snap ring which is next to the bearing inner race. • Remove the shaft and all of the components of the second end (“END B”) at the same time by forcing the shaft into the roller tube at “END A” and out through “END B”. Take precautions to prevent the shaft from causing damage or injury as it projects out the end of the roller tube. • Remove the bearing, seal and retainer components from “END B” of the shaft. Use the shaft to force the “END A” bearing out of the roller tube.

  14. REBUILDING ROLLER WITH NEW COMPONENTS: • (Overhaul kit # -2OH / -2OHSS contains 2 each of the components listed above) • Insert the shaft into the roller housing. Press new bearings onto the shaft ends and into bearing housing using Golfco assembly tools (97TOOL40A). The inner shoulder of the shaft will help to center the bearings and shaft in the roller tube. • Install both snap rings to hold bearings in place. You may have to shift the shaft after installing the first retainer. • Place a small amount of your favorite industrial (not erotic) grease in the housing next to the bearing. • Install the collar seal into the housing with its counter-bore facing outward. The outer O-ring will center the collar as it seals. • Push the black rubber V-ring seal onto the shaft end with the thin flexible lip section facing inward. With careful motion, push the V-ring down into the counter-bore of the collar seal. The lettering molded into the V-ring should be set flush with the outer face of the collar seal. • Install the steel washer and the exterior lateral retaining clip.
