  2. Agenda

  3. Operations UpdateJanuary Cristina Aiftimiei, Małgorzata Krakowian, Peter Solagna

  4. RC/RP OLA reporting • December • https://documents.egi.eu/document/2386 • User SLA • Biovel, DRIHM, CompChem • Quality of support (Response time) • Response time is the time from • assigning a ticket to a support unit and the support unit is kept until the first status changes to any other value than "assigned", (time untill you change status of the ticket from „assigned” to any) • or assigning a ticket to a support unit and the status value "assigned" is kept until the support unit changes to any other support unit (re-assign).(time untill you reasign a ticket in „assigned” status to other SU)

  5. Quality of support • Generated via GGUS report generator (https://ggus.eu/?mode=report_view) Choose your NGI SU Tick group by priority

  6. Quality of support

  7. ROD future • ROD team • oversees the smooth operation of EGI infrastructure in the respective NGI through Operations PortalROD dashboard • is responsible for solving problems on the infrastructure within own Operations Centre according to agreed procedures. • ensuresthat problems are properly recorded and progress according to specified time lines.

  8. ROD future • Issues: • In small NGIs (eg. 1 RC) often ROD and Site admin is the same person • Proposal: To stop ROD performance index monitoring • EGI Operations will stop look at expired ROD tickets and old alarms for 6 month trial period • If no impact on Ava/Rel NGIs will propose change to make optional for ROD teams to open tickets on Ops Portal dashboard based on alarms. • Please discuse this within your NGIs! • During February OMB we will discuss more.

  9. Multicore accouting • At December OMB, EGI asked NGIs to encourage sites to start publishing of multicore accounting • https://indico.egi.eu/indico/getFile.py/access?contribId=1&resId=0&materialId=slides&confId=2284 • At the time 45% of CPU Usage was by sites not publishing cores. • Yesterday this had reduced to 33% for January • Probably an overestimate as more sites will have started to publish during this month. • Keep up the good work! OMB, December 2014

  10. Multicore accouting OMB, December 2014

  11. New Global VOs • eli-np.eu • Nuclear physics • http://www.eli-np.ro/ • Supporting Extreme Light Infrastructure for high-level research on ultra-high intensity laser, laser-matter interaction and secondary sources with unparalleled possibilities • vo.compass.cern.ch • Accelerator physics, High energy physics, Nuclear physics, Particle physics, Physics • http://wwwcompass.cern.ch • COMPASS is a high-energy physics experiment at the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) at CERN. The purpose of this experiment is the study of hadron structure and hadron spectroscopy with high intensity muon and hadron beams. • fermilab.fnal.gov • Accelerator physics, Astrophysics, High energy physics, Particle physics • http://fermigrid.fnal.gov/ • An "umbrella" VO that includes the Fermilab Campus Grid (FermiGrid) and Fermilab Grid Testing (ITB) infrastructures, and all Fermilab computing activities that are not big enough to have their own Virtual Organization. Broadly these include the intensity frontier program, theoretical simulations, fixed target analysis, and accelerator and beamline design as well as activities performed by the Fermilab Campus Grid administrators.

  12. Documentation • Upcomingnewprocedures/Manuals: • PROC19 Introducingnew cloud management frameworkand grid middleware in EGI Production Infrastructure • In good shape • Exercise with Open Stack represented by Enol Fernandez • In addition we will work on full documentation for sites deploying Open Stack • Proc 20 (Support for CVMFS replication across the EGI and OSG CVMFS services) testes with one VO • No complaints • Instructions_for_Operations_Tools_teams • No comments so far from NGIs • Presented to Tools developers

  13. Cloud Accouting campaign • FedCloud sites must upgrade to the latest releases of accounting probes for their cloud management framework and republish their records once the upgrade is done. (OpenStack, OpenNebula) • GGUS ticket created for all NGIs with FedCloud sites

  14. EGI Conference 2015 EGI.eu and IBERGRID, a partnership between the Portuguese National Distributed Computing Infrastructure (INCD) and the Spanish National Grid Initiative (NGI-ES), are pleased to announce that the EGI Conference 2015 will take place in Lisbon, between 18-22 May. • Registration for the EGI Conference 2015 is now openhttp://go.egi.eu/reg2015 • http://www.egi.eu/news-and-media/newsfeed/news_2015_003.html • http://conf2015.egi.eu/
