5. LCAHL Volunteers All LCAHL positions are on a volunteer basis
LCAHL requested volunteers from across the league in August and received more than 65 responses.
Skill sets were matched with open positions as Board Members, Division Directors, Committee Chairs and Committee Members
No volunteer was turned away, but sometimes volunteers did not get the position they wanted and were offered an alternative
LCAHL Volunteers represent all MAHA districts across the league and out of state teams
Division Directors are the first line of contact for all teams
Committees will be used for special functions and have open positions
The Operations Board oversees all decisions with the understanding that the final decision will always be one that is aligned with the Operating Rules and in the best interest of the majority of the teams

Once all parties agree, the Division Director will make the change in Pointstreak. NO GAMES MAY BE SCHEDULED AFTER 1/8/09 WITHOUT THE WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE LEAGUE SCHEDULER.
Neck Guards are recommended but not required.
Double Jeopardy Rule is no longer in affect for league play but stands for playoffs
16. Operating Rules Reminder Weather Conditions – LCAHL reserves the right to cancel any/or all league games due to bad weather conditions. The league uses as its guide, the National Weather Service and the state police. Every reasonable attempt should be made to play scheduled games, however the league will not mandate that a team must compete when there is inclement weather that could threaten the safety of players, coaches and family members.
Section 9 LCAHL Operating Rules
17. Operating Rules Reminder Protest and Discipline Committee:
Three individuals will make up the committee in addition to the Division Director and at least one LCAHL Operations Board member
Protests must be noted on the score sheet at the time of play
Protests must be submitted within the timelines noted in the operating rules with the appropriate payment
In any protest, two basic questions must be answered:
Was the protest filed in accordance with league rules?
Was a league rule violated in a such a way that it had an impact on the outcome of the game?
The league will not review on ice calls by the referee.
18. Operating Rules Reminder Period Lengths
Minimum – 10 Minutes
Maximum
12 Minutes Mini Mites/Mites
15 Minutes All Others
Each team should confirm at scheduling and prior to the start of the game in writing on the score sheet the period length
The league will not mandate the amount of ice time that a team must have, but teams should use consideration of drive time and common game times when scheduling
Questions should be referred to the Division Director
19. Pointstreak Passwords for all administrators have been sent and game data has been loaded
Teams have been scheduling games all week and entering this data into PointStreak
Today’s meeting is to complete scheduling and load the final data into the system
Once all schedules are finalized a master list will be printed and the game data will no longer be editable by Team Administrators
After the final game data has been entered, record changes will only be able to be made by the team’s Division Director or Operations Board Members
20. Pointstreak Home teams must enter a complete roster into Pointstreak before the first scheduled league game. This includes every player and coach:
Name (first/last or first initial/last)
Number
Position
Home Teams must also enter all of the staff for their team:
League Tools => Edit Team Roster =>Add New Players.
Drop down box to the far left:
Choose between “Player”, “Goalie” and “Staff”.
Select “Staff” and a second drop down box will appear
Select “H. Coach”, “A. Coach”, “Mgr” or “Trainer”.
Staff will appear on the roster and can be assessed penalties exactly the same way as players.
Individual player data is available for public viewing at the Pee Wee Level and above
21. Pointstreak Scoring The following score sheet data must be entered into PointStreak:
Goals
Assists
Major Penalties
Please try to enter:
Accurate goalie information
Goals at the times they occurred
It is the option of each team if they would like to enter additional information such as minor penalties;
Edit capabilities will now be given to both teams to allow complete data entry
22. Pointstreak… It is the home team’s responsibility to enter all game data into Pointstreak, within 48 hours, but no later than 7 days after completion of a game.
It is the visiting team’s responsibility to validate the accuracy of the data.
If data is not entered in the allotted time, the head coach of the home team could be suspended from league play until data entry is complete. This includes accurate roster entry.
If the home team does not enter the game data within the allotted time, the away team will now be able to enter the game data into PointStreak
Home teams that continually do not enter game data could be subject to league sanctions
23. Playoffs Information about playoff formats will be provided closer to that time.
Playoff alignments will be similar to 2008 with levels of competitive play
Teams that win their divisions may request or may be required at the discretion of LCAHL to be moved up to the next level of competitive play for playoffs
Teams that have had a very difficult season may be moved down a level for playoffs
Teams will be seeded for playoffs based on their standings as of January 8, 2oo9

There will not be a separate meeting for playoffs so it is important to save these score sheets for playoffs and not use them for your scrimmage games
