95th Street Extension:Plainfield-Naperville Road to Boughton Road • Scope • Approximately 2 miles of new Roadway • New Structure over DuPage River • Intersection Improvements at termini • Noise Walls • Total Cost: $ 25.9 million • Funding: Over $10 million in Federal Funds (STP & STR)
Will-peotone road @ old Chicago road • Scope • Turn Lanes on all legs • Reconstruction of Structures over Jordan Creek on both roads • Total Cost: $7.04 million
South Briggs Street Over Metra & hickory creek • Scope: Structure Rehabilitation • Total Cost: $2.5 million
Job creation • According to Labor Statistics • 42, 000 jobs are created • Per $1 billion in Construction • Build Will FY 2012 Creates: 2210 jobs
PIPELINE PERMITS • Communicate early • Call ahead to confirm jurisdiction is Will County Highway and type of permit required • Confirm permit fee, if applicable, before sending check • Permit application along with plans, scope of work. Also will need cost estimate, schedule, insurance, utility annual letter of credit or bond

Backfill • Under pavement, including up to 2 FT outside pavement • Required to ensure suitable subgrade • Trench Backfill • Mix of fine and coarse aggregate, like CA-6 • Placed in lifts, external compaction required, more labor • IDOT Standard Spec Section 208 • Controlled Low-Strength Material (CLSM) • Pour in place, like low strength concrete • Deep excavations • Placed in lifts, self compacting, less labor • IDOT Standard Spec Section 593
BORE • Bore deep under road right-of-way • Including deep under ditches and future ditches • 150 FT Total Right-of-Way for SRA Routes • 120 FT Total Right-of-Way for other County Highways • Prefer minimum 10 FT below existing centerline top of pavement elevation • Avoid having to lower for future road improvements • Bore pits at least 10 FT from edge of pavement • Pothole to expose other utilities • Prefer vacuum excavation • Utility responsibility for maintaining cut • Restore landscaping with blanket/seed
OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Removal of retired pipe • Required under proposed pavement • Required where conflicts with proposed storm sewer • Regulations • Traffic Control • MUTCD • Environmental • USACOE Wetland Permit • Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPP) including Sediment Control Plan • Pipeline decision if required • Will County Highway plans only cover activity once road contractor mobilized
