  2. Goals of Cadet Program Objective is to foster leadership and good citizenship in America’s youth, using aerospace education, and emphasis on public service.

  3. Goals of Cadet Program Cadets may participate in a variety of activities, gain rank and increased recognition in the program and receive benefits for participation in the program.

  4. Goals of Cadet Program It challenges them to learn and grow in ways they may not have had the opportunity to were it not for the program.

  5. Cadet Safety & Well-Being • Adult Supervision • Cadet Protection Program • Does not tolerate physical, sexual or emotional abuse, bulling

  6. Cadet Activities • Weekly Meetings • Curry Boot Camp • Cadet Orientation Rides • Veterans’ Day Observance • Wreaths Across America

  7. Cadet Activities • Emergency Services Training • Community Service • Encampments

  8. Flying - 5 Orientation rides • CAP approved aircraft used • Orientation Pilots licensed • Safety is top priority • Priority of cadets to fly • Flights are not part of formal flight training

  9. Advancement • Cadet Rank Structure • Start as a basic cadet • Can advance to cadet Colonel

  10. Advancement • Knowledge testing • Physical fitness testing • Participation in CAP activities

  11. Additional Information • Membership & Financial Requirements • Cadets must be in 6th grade • Completion of application • Blue uniform basic parts provided by Air Force.

  12. Membership & Financial Requirements • $45.00 per cadet – Checks made payable to National Headquarters, Civil Air Patrol • $18.00 Per cadet – Squadron fee for t-shirt & baseball cap.

  13. Membership & Financial Requirements • Cost for food and supplies to attend certain activates. • Accessories - uniforms to include shoes, patches, ribbons and etc. (estimated cost $110.00) • CAP related expenses may be tax deductible.

  15. How Can You Help • Need parents to join • Task that need to be filled • Fund raising • Parent coordinator • Paper work • Drop-off and pick-up of cadets on timely manner (6:15 p.m.)
