  2. Alleles Notes: Alleles: Are different forms of genes that carry information for a specific trait. A person’s hair color depends on several alleles interacting in complex ways to determine the actual trait of the offspring.

  3. Alleles Notes: One allele can be dominate over another. The other alleles is called recessive.

  4. Alleles Notes: Alleles: We write alleles using capital and lower case letters. A capital ‘D’ would express dominance. While a ‘d’ would express recessive.

  5. Alleles Alleles are expressed usually as: Homozygous: meaning they are the same. Heterozygous: meaning they are different.

  6. Alleles Notes: Homozygous dominate would be written: DD Heterozygous dominate would be written: Dd Homozygous recessive would be written: dd
