Overview • Launched in September 2008, yammer is a private communication within organizations and predestinated groups. • Said to be an example of Enterprise Social Software-Includes social and networked modifications to corporate intranets and other classic software platforms used by large companies to organize their communication.

Overview • Not only are you able to communicate with other companies, but you are able to use Yammer to create press releases to inform viewers about your company. • Also Yammer helps employees of these large companies stay informed of their own platform and events. • Users of Yammer have said “It helps me feel that I’m more a part of a big global company”.

Who uses Yammer? • Large companies and corporations. • According to the website some 70,000 organizations currently use this website for interacting with other organizations alike. • networks for which access is not restricted just by domain, allowing businesses to connect In February 2010 yammer launched “communities”, which are to groups such as customers, partners and suppliers. • Yammer is a good way to discover which company is the most prolific or followed by consumers.
