Activity 1 • Muscles generally work in opposing pairs • In groups of two or three, go through the following movements and try so work out which muscles are the “prime movers” (agonists) • Elbow flexion • Knee extension • Trunk (spine) flexion • Wrist extension • Neck rotation • Hip extension • Shoulder abduction • Shoulder depression • Shoulder elevation Dan Jakes 2010
