NTIP Board Visits – Dotmocracy • Create a mentoring web with multiple models of mentoring both within and beyond the school • Provide choice from a menu of authentic professional learning opportunities – practical, specific to assignment • Increase number of joint release days to collaborate with multiple mentors • Support mentors as they are critical to the success of NTIP

NTIP Funding via GSN 2014-15 • $50,000 per district school board plus $1,262.66 multiplied by the number of teachers on Rows 0, 1, and 2 of a board's Teacher Qualifications and Experience Grid (with movement) in 2013–14 • Your Regional Education Officer will be sending confirmation of your projected14/15 allocation in the following week • Revision (if any) based on 13/14 Financial Statements will be communicated to boards in January 2015

  9. 1st Year Permanent Hires NTIP Required – Boards must support • 1st Year Long Term Occasionals • NTIP Mentors • 2nd Year Permanent Hires NTIP Eligible – Boards may support • 2nd Year Long Term Occasionals • 1st or 2ndYear Full-Time Continuing Education Teachers Scope of NTIP Funding

Enhancing Teacher Development Fund • Significant hiring of new Long Term Occasional Teachers 97+ days compared to new permanent hires • Significant increase in number of new permanent hires from previous years • NTIP required permanent hires past Year 2 on the salary grid • Applications available Fall 2014 – due end of October • In year funding for 14/15 school year
