  2. Chip card without touching • The chip card without touching is the basis for the chip card system of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano. The communication between the card and the reader does not require physical contact. • The chip is integrated in the card and not visible. frontback

Means of payment 2 The chip card can be used as electronic wallet in the campus area with the following payment possibilities: • At the automatic vending machines selling snacks and drinks • Special prints (plotter, 3D-prints…) • Cafeteria • Canteen • Photocopiers • Services and fees at the library • Internet points at the library

How to charge up the chip card a • Hold the chip card or the wallet containing the chip card next to the reader • The recharging machine reads how much credit you have on your card and visualizes it on the display • Insert banknotes in the provided slot (5, 10, 20 or 50 Euro) • The card is recharged after a couple of seconds • The new credit will be displayed

  16. Pay with the chip card b • Hold the chip card to the reader. • The system recognizes the actual credit and shows it on the display. • The price of the choosen thing/service will be substracted and the remaining credit will be shown on the display.
