Vennero inseriti durante l’età di Pisistrato gli agoni drammatici Formato da coro e protagonista Nasce ad Atene come culto in onore di Dioniso Danza-canta-dialoga col protagonista Svolge più ruoli con diverse maschere Il teatro, il luogo in cui si guarda Dal V sec. a.C. vengono aggiunti attori Teatro di Dioniso ad Atene • Costruito prima in legno poi in pietra; • Situato ai piedi dell’acropoli; • Rilievo naturale dove costruivano le gradinate per gli spettatori; • Forma semicircolare; • Spianata in basso detta orchestra dove stava il coro; • Proscenio rialzato dove stavano gli attori; • Alle loro spalle la scena (fondi dipinti). • Gare teatrali: • Durano 4 giorni; • Premiazione migliore autore e attore; • 3 giorni tragedie e 1 commedie. Struttura invariabile in tutti i teatri greci Commedia: gara oratoria tra 2 personaggi; linguaggio volgare; conclusione festiva. Tragedie: ambientate in un passato mitologico con eroi; conclusione tragica.
