  6. Math Message Follow-Up • Let’s discuss your answers. • What else do you notice about the graph? • What does the graph show about the distance each person traveled? • Whose line is the steepest? • Whole line is the least steep?

  7. Reading Graphs • Look over the graphs and descriptions on pg. 357. • What does each graph represent? • How are the axes labeled? • Why does the line for Tom start at 50 yards and the line for Alisha start at 0 yards? • How long does it take to run 100 meters according to the graph in problem 2? **Complete journal pages 356 and 357 with a partner**

  8. Interpreting Mystery Graphs • 5 mystery graphs are shown at the top of pg. 358. • Match each graph with the correct description. • 4 graphs are only used once, and one graph is not used at all.

  9. Playing First to 100 • Play “First to 100” with a partner to practice solving open number sentences. • Directions are on pg. 308 in the SRB.

  10. Independent Practice • Independently work on math boxes page 359. • If you get done, you may work on Study Link 10.7.
