Introduction • The JAAR-RL (Joint AAR – Resource Library) is a collection of AAR components from all the different services. • JAAR (collective) engineers designed, developed and implemented the architecture. • Architecture includes communications and data centralization (but will soon consider decentralized sources) • Developed APIs for ease of integration.
JAAR Strategy • To provide DoD with an enterprise architecture that will integrate the best of breed existing AAR systems into a single co-operative/cohesive toolkit that will enable reuse and become a force multiplier in supporting DoD feedback and assessment needs • Benefits of the JAAR-Strategy: • Eliminate duplication of effort • Have true system experts for each component. • Co-develop the AAR System with existing tools. • Keep system cost low compared to total development of AAR system. • Flexible: Able to exchange or add new systems. • Community of Experts to help develop complete system. • Services recognize their own products built into the JAAR.
