i)Institute of Management of STU • based in Bratislava, established by the Rectors´ decision, based on Act on Universities and Advanced Education institutions • represent the university-wide Institute • in the structure of the University is incorporated under the Rector of STU • creation of the Institute of Management is linked from the following departments: • Department of Economics and Building Management of Faculty of Civil Engineering • Department of Management of The Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology • Department of Economics and Management of The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology • Institutte of Spatial Planning of Faculty of Architecture
i)Institute of Management of STU • Structure of Management Institute: • Unit of the Director • Unit of Economics and Building Management • Unit of Spatial Planning and Management • Unit of Economics and Management of Enterprising • Unit of Management of Chemical and Food Technologies Since September 2008, Institute of Management STU provides accredited programs at three levels of study: • Bachelor, Master and PhD. The Management Institute at present consist of more than50 employees including PhD students.
ii)Spatial Planning and Real Estate Engineering • Why this program? • absence of a study program in Slovakia, which deals with theReal Estate Market! • wide enforcement of graduates in practice - law, finance, business,... • possibility of employment in the highly prospective area of the real estate business - real estate agencies, financial institutions, developers,... • Real Estate Market Currently occupies a very important position

iv) Creating process • The main idea is to create a separate study program at the Institute of Management STU • This will prevent the start of „the testing module“ under study program - Spatial Planning, which is a study program of Department of Spatial Planning and Management • The testing module will be launched at a bachelor degree and master degree • In the transition to a separate study program will be complemented by a doctoral degree
v) Composition of subjects • From the Law on Higher Education is required to be preserved minimum 60% of the original - core subjects of the program Spatial Planning and 40% of the total number of subjects can be replaced by new subjects. • Space for new subjects we have obtained with merger-related subjects (for example: subject Physical Geography + subject Geography Informatics) • In this way we obtained space for new subjects, and was maintained over 80% of the original subjects • We also adjust the scope of hours of original subjects
