TMDL Project • TMDL Work Scope has been outlined • DCWAC Committees formed (Funding, TMDL, Technical, Scope/Workplan) • Southern California Coastal Water Research Project (SCCWRP) to finalize work scope and initiate field investigations • Preliminary estimate developed: $1.5MM 2001-2003 • Related work being outlined • Harbor circulation model
Involvement • Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA) • Supporting DCWAC in 2001-2003 • Why is WSPA involved? • Additional municipal support key – it will take all of us to “make it happen”
Current efforts for Master Plan • Master Plan developed by LA Department of Public Works • RFP to prepare Master Plan issued for consultant • $200,000 in State funds already authorized • Proposals due for review in November • Work anticipated to begin 1/2002
