  1. Cherokee Elementary 1-27-14 Ms. Gowens’ Classroom News *Please READ every night. Our fluency scores need improvement. We should be reading 45 words correctly in a minute. **Production will be Friday, March 14th at 6pm at the Cedartown Auditorium. The first show will be American Bandstand. Tickets go on sale 2/4 from 5-6:30pm during the book fair night. Tickets will be on sale that week before and after school. Tickets are $5 each. **If you have not signed up for Remind 101 please text @gowe to 754-333-5551. You can also follow my classroom on Instagram. This app is free and our username is room10firsties. Reading- L13 “A Butterfly Grows”, “ch” and “tch”, story sequencing, and proper nouns Spelling- chip, chin, inch, such, catch, match, wish, shop, saw, were Vocabulary- air, fly, friends, grew, need, play, rain, watch Math-We are working on addition strategies to sums of 20 2/3-2/7 Scholastic Book Fair 2/17 – 2/18 No School for President’s Day 2/21 – Progress Reports 3/20 – 3/21 Intercession 4/1 Report Cards Free homework pass if you mention the word “Renaissance”.
