The Review Process • The For Review page • Log into MyAccess and select Advance • From your Advance record, the For Review tab is on the far right • Packets that have been assigned to you will display on your For Review page • Reviewing a packet • Click the candidate Name to review that packet • Notification from Advance • If you have packets on your For Review page, Advance will send a weekly email reminder
The For Review page • Reviewers see the packets that have been added to their For Review page • Click the candidate name to view the packet contents • Click Review Complete and Save to move the packet to the bottom section
The For Review page • Packets marked “Review Complete” move to the Review complete section • Review Complete helps the APA see how many have reviewed a packet • When the Review Due date passes, the packet is removed from the page
Reviewing a packet • After clicking the name on the For Review page, you are presented with the candidate’s Summary page, which displays the advancement action, the Years at Rank and Step, a history of prior packets, and a list of who has completed certifications for this packet.
Reviewing a packet • The CV page: • The filters at the top right eable you to focus only on the past few years • Click one of the filters to condense the CV into showing only those entries that fall within the filter’s parameter

Reviewing a packet • The Teaching Evaluations page: • Click on the hyperlink to open and view the attached PDF
Reviewing a packet • The References page: • Click the hyperlink date under the View Ref column to open and view the reference letter submitted through the Advance references process
Reviewing a packet • As a reviewer, you have access to the Chair Letter so you can draft the letter, if you have been asked to do so. • Drafting this letter may be delegated to committee chairs, Division Chiefs, or supervisors of non-faculty academics.
Reviewing a packet • If you have been asked to draft the Chair Letter, fill the letter out, and click the Save as Draft button at the bottom of the page to save the letter • Only the Chair can certify the Chair Letter
Notification from Advance • Anyone with a packet on their For Review page will receive a weekly email from Advance encouraging them to login and review packets
Reviewer recap • What the Reviewer does • Respond to notification from Advance • Access packets on the For Review page • Review packet • Indicate Review Complete
Things to consider • Check your For Review page often to see whether packets have been assigned to you • You’ll get a weekly email if you have packets on your For Review page • If you are on a Committee that meets to discuss packets: • Make notes while reviewing • Bring your laptop to the meeting
