  2. Homework • Before turning in your persuasive writing, label the following: • Logos • Ethos • Pathos

  3. Chapter 1 Mastery Test Look at your scores on the chapter 1 mastery test. If you scored less than a B, you need to review the concepts and take a make up test during SRT to prove you mastered these skills.

  4. Quickwrite • Answer the following question: • What is the nature of justice in relation to religious garb and paraphernalia? • You will each be given an article related to a specific issue surrounding religious garb. Read your article, annotating for main ideas and issues. • After you read the article, you will work with others to synthesize the information and generate an analysis related to the idea of dress.

  5. Legal Justice Group with people who read articles other than yours. Compare the main ideas and issues. Generate a list of issues and ideas common amongst all the articles.

  6. In “An Immodest Idea” JaminTaskin says that an issue like banning religious garb would never happen in US schools. • Do you agree? Why or why not? • Which Principle of the Declaration of the Rights of Children relates to these ideas?
