PSSM Radio Infrastructure Project • Implementing a P25 compliant radio system • Capitalize on interoperability with the National Capital Region jurisdictions/agencies • Address coverage issues with new construction in the County, WMATA tunnels and along the Potomac river. • Plan for scalability and County growth while supporting interoperability standards. • The County will continue use of its existing VHF channels with the capability to expand as needed.

  3. PSSM Radio Infrastructure Project • Provide complete training of all essential personnel. • Acceptance Test program to include in-building RF coverage performance and failover/continuity of operations. • The County is prepared to utilize resource sharing with the State of Maryland to provide both cost savings and operational improvements where applicable. • Adjusting Portable Subscriber Unit “zones” to support enhanced coverage (see map).

  5. PSSM Radio Infrastructure Project Upcoming Activities – • Finalizing RFP with Legal & Procurement • Release to Public for responses • Review, Negotiate and Select PSSM Program – High Level Procurement Timeline
