  17. How do I select classes? Begin with academics, consider your current performance and level of class. Consider your teacher recommendations. Ask them questions if want more information about their recommendation. Discuss with your parents/guardians. Signatures are required! Levels chosen determine difficulty and amount of homework. You do not have to select all your academics at the same level. Using pencil, please mark your academic course requests on your sheet.

  19. Teacher Recommendations What if I am recommended for a level that is not on my sheet? Write it in and change the last digit of the course number. Example: English 9 – Level 6 = 050116, if you are recommended Honors write in 050118, or basic 050111.

  20. What else should I consider when selecting classes? Next, consider graduation requirements and recommendations for freshmen: Health and P.E. I Remember, some of your electives create opportunities to explore career ideas, such as courses in Business, Agriscience,World Language, Foundations of Tech (if Alg 1 Honors or higher math) All students need to take a fine art credit: Drama, Music: Instrumental, Vocal, Electronic, Dance, Art Read course descriptions in the Program of Studies.
