CTS 2013 Highlights (1/2) TENCON and TENSYMP (TENCON Spring): Attended and supported 2013 TENCON Spring held in Sydney, Australia on 10-12 April, and 2013 TENCON held in Xi’an, China on 22-25 October. Selected the host sections for 2014 TENCON (Thailand Section), 2014 TENSYMP (Malaysia Section), 2015 TENCON (Macau Section), and 2015 TENSYMP (Gujarat Section). R10 South Asia Conference Leadership Program: Held in Mumbai on 11-12 December with support of Bombay Section for local arrangement. 31 participants from SA Sections (including Bombay, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Gujarat, Madras, Pune), Thailand Section, Region 10, and IEEE HQ(3 Speakers). Also attended 2013 POCO held in Portland, USA on 25-27 July to obtain latest information on organizing IEEE conferences and prepare for the R10 South Asia Conference Leadership Program.
CTS 2013 Highlights (2/2) Support of Technical Seminars and Distinguished Lecture Programs: Supported 2 technical seminars (1 in Malaysia Section an 1 in Beijing Section) and 1 distinguished lecture program (in Queensland Section). R10 Seminar: Held on 28 Feb in Chiang Mai in conjunction with 2013 R10 AGM. More than 50 participants from Chiang Mai area.

2014 R10 Conference and Technical Seminar (CTS) • Vision/Mission: • To enhance technical activities in Region 10 by promoting: • TENCON and TENSYMP • Technical seminars and Distinguished Lectures in R10 • R10 Seminars held in conjunction with R10 Excom Meeting in January and R10 Annual General Meeting in March • R10 Conference Leadership Training Program • To act as an interface between Region 10 and MGA/TA/IEEE Conference Operations for issues related to technical activities in R10. • To assist R10 Sections by providing available IEEE information, resources and publicity.

Proposed 2014 Projects and Activities (1) 1. TENCON and TENSYMP: • Support of 2014 TENSYMP (14-16 April, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) to be hosted by Malaysia Section • Support of 2014 TENCON (22-25 October, Bangkok, Thailand) to be hosted by Thailand Section • Support of 2015 TENSYMP to be hosted by Gujarat Selection. • Support of 2015 TENCON to be hosted by Macao Section. • Selection of host section for 2016 TENSYMP (Call for proposals to be issued in July) • Selection of host section for 2016 TENCON (Call for proposals to be issued in October)

Technical Seminars and Distinguished Lectures in R10: • R10 supports technical seminars and distinguished lectures to be held in R10 Sections by partial funding. • Call for applications for the fund is to be issued by the end of March. 3. R10 Conference Leadership Training: • R10 Conference Coordinator is to attend 2014 POCO to obtain the latest information on how to high-quality technical conferences. • Distribute the necessary and useful information to R10 by emails and holding tutorial sessions in major R10 conferences, such as TENCON.
Proposed 2013 Projects and Activities (3) 4. R10 Seminars held in conjunction with R10Excom Meeting and R10 Annual Meeting • The main purpose of the R10 Seminar is to promote IEEE activities in the local area by introducing IEEE activities and giving technical lectures. • R10 held a R10 Seminar in conjunction with the R10 Excom Meeting held in Manila, Philippines on 17 January with the support of Philippine Section. • R10 also held a R10 Seminar in conjunction with the R10 Annual General Meeting held in Kuching, Malaysia on 28 February in Manila with the support of Philippine Section.
