É comunitaria; Sua base pedagógica: Paulo Freire e Celestin Freinet; Ela atende crianças e adolescentes entre 3 à 15 anos de idade; Ela oferece: ensino infantil e fundamental, capoeira, artesanato, dança e informática; assistência psicopedagógica. Sua base administrativa é participativa pelo Grupo Renascer. ESCOLA ABERTA DO CALABAR
