WSIS Forum 2010 Midterm Review • ITU, UNESCO, UNDP and UNCTAD in their mandated roles have the pleasure to organize the WSIS Forum 2010to be heldfrom 10 to 14 May 2010, at the ITU Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. • (10-12 May HL Segment / 13-14 Workshops) • This event builds upon the tradition of annual WSIS May meetings, and its new format is a result of the open consultations with all WSIS Stakeholders.

  4. WSIS Forum 2010 Format of the Meeting The Forum will offer participants a series of diverse meetings, including: • High-Level Panels • WSIS Action Line Facilitation Meetings • Thematic Workshops • Kick-off Meetings • Speed Exchanges • WSIS Action Line Facilitators Meeting • UNGIS Meeting

  5. WSIS Forum 2010 Preparatory Process • General Assembly Draft Resolution • 12. Notes the organization of the WSIS Forum 2009 by ITU, UNCTAD, UNDP and UNESCO to facilitate interaction between actors implementing the WSIS action lines, and invites the organizers to fully engage Governments, international organizations, civil society and the private sector in the preparations of the WSIS Forum 2010, to be held from 10 to 14 May in Geneva;

WSIS Forum 2010 Open Consultation Process • STEP ONE: ONLINE DISCUSSION WSIS Community website provided an opportunity of discussing the WSIS Forum 2010 in remote mode. • STEP TWO: SUBMISSION OF OFFICIAL COMMENT/CONTRIBUTIONOfficial comment/contribution were submitted in electronic form with deadline of 5 February 2010. • STEP THREE: FINAL REVIEW MEETINGFinal review of all submitted comments, 10 February 2010 in ITU Headquarters, Geneva.
