How it works • Janus will accept and process all your grant data starting from the very first grant application ever received. • It creates meaningful models that you use real-time, on a go-forward basis. • Janus looks at all factors, including things that you may never have considered relevant. • Once Janus creates these models they are used in real-time against all new applications and grants.

3. What is Janus? • Janus is a Machine Learning extension to the SmartSimple platform. • Step 1 • Using Janus Machine Learning, you can analyze all your grant data and outcomes to establish objective models of what works, what does not work, and where the ambiguity lies. • Janus is agnostic and has no pre-built bias; it learns your current unique model and provides different insights to incoming grant application. • Step 2 • Add the Janus model to your grant application • Janus will score each application based on the model • Like the Roman legend of mythology, Janus looks backward and forward at the same.

4. And on we go….. GMS360° • Selected training records and fields combined with appropriate algorithm* sent to Janus. • Number of records needs to be number of fields2 x 2.5 • Janus analyzes the data using the algorithm to create the model. • The model is returned and becomes part of GMS360° • The model is used for real-time evaluation of each new application. • Any number of different models can be created to evaluate different criteria.
