Entering the next Industrial revolution Big data. That is what we are talking about when we speak of controlling automation by wireless. A sure thing is that globally, big data will address millions of devices even in 2018. This may bring about a problem of how much of this data needs to be in real-time. The passing of instructions and updating manufacturing processes is fast and is transmitted in no time at all. When we talk of real-time data we are talking about a continual stream of instructions passing backwards and forwards constantly. This is a different ball game altogether. Internet speed and bandwidth immediately come to mind. Definitely the IIoT is one of the fastest globally growing businesses. In order to accomplish a quality of performance, we need to move a lot of data to a wide variety of sources, we also have high volumes of data and, we are going to need high speed internet. In other words, we need to be able to move this data quickly. Moving data quickly through the present bandwidth connection on the Internet may have its own bottlenecks and hurdles. We have internet connections at home up to 100 megabits per second broadband, (Mbps), and the amount of data that this speed can move is more than fast enough for home use. We only really need about 20 Mbps to stream data. For businesses who are moving large amounts of data there are several things which must be addressed such as bottlenecks which may occur, limited access to real-time data connections etc. These all need to be addressed fairly quickly. There is little doubt that we increase our product volumes, increase quality and streamline our maintenance and troubleshooting if we use high speed internet. There is increased activity in big data analytics as the type of data is important. There are things to be considered such as market trends, patterns for data movement etc. This analysis of data is important to the internet insofar as connection speeds are concerned. Some companies addressing equipment for manufacturing processes may need fast connection whilst others cam make do with a slower connection. This matters greatly in how much data we are able to move at one time. There are companies addressing the technical hurdles of moving and integrating data and meeting the growing IIoT. There are also companies with solutions to move data fast, easily and, remember, it must be moved securely over WAN (Wide area Networks) networks with low- bandwidth connections. We need to have customer satisfaction by providing service excellence.
The IIoT, (industrial internet of things) is definitely the way of the world trend at present and there are quite a few problems to be overcome. We have to streamline our products so that a limited amount of data is needed to be moved. Maybe accessing software to commence manufacturing processes can require less data to be moved. Once the instruction is sent via the internet the wireless network of a different speed and type can be used to take over.
