  1. 1.Reactia cu clorul 2Fe+3Cl=2Fe Cl3(clorura de fier) Clorul se poate obtine in laborator din reactia cloratului de potasiu cu acidul clorhidric. KClO3+HCl 2.Reactia cu oxigenul 3Fe+2O2=Fe3O4(oxid fero-feric) 3.Reactia cu sulful Fe+S=FeS(sulfura de fier) Se amestaca pilitura de fier cu pulbere de sulf si de incalzeste .Se obtine o substanta neagra ,iar in urma reactiei se degaja caldura. 4.Reactia cu sarurile ale metalelor mai putin reactive decat fierul Fe+Cu So4=Fe So4+Cu 5.Reactia cu acizii Reactia cu acidul clorhidric Fe+2HCl=Fe Cl2 +H2 (clorura de fier(II)) Fierul –proprietati chimice
