  3. Fitness and health The students will though different psychical exercises learn about the largest muscle groups in their body. They are going to make small instruction videos to show their knowledge of how to train a muscle group. Back to Overview

CONTENT Learners will: Get to know how the body can be trained with simple exercises without the need for extra equipment and without having to take up a lot of time Learn how to pay attention to the body and what makes it feel good and healthy Gain knowledge about which muscle groups are used in which exercises Back to Overview

Communication Learners will use language to make their own videos showing an exercise They will learn vocabulary and expressions that describe the body and body movements For visualization and support of the pupils’ learning of key language and topic contents and aims, there will be pictures, flashcards and the use of the IWB in the classroom Back to Overview

COGNITION Learners will be using various Cognitive Skills and will develop both LOTS & HOTS Learners will: have to use their knowledge in new situations have to analyze the different physical exercises they know in order to find one that fits the training of the muscle group they have been assigned have to be able to plan their description of the exercise and their instructions in order for others to be able to understand and use it See Bloom’s Wheel forcognitivelearningtasks Back to Overview

COMPETENCE Learners will: have to make videos of the instructions and attach them to QR-codes have to describe the physical exercise in a way others understand to be able to do it have to know and specify which muscles are used in the exercise listen to an instruction on how to do an exercise and perform it Back to Overview

  8. COMMUNITY Health and health issues are a local, regional and global phenomena. It is important that children understand that enhanced well-being can be achieved through everyday actions without the need for an expensive or exclusive solution. Everybody can join in and even small changes towards doing more exercise in everyday life can bring advantages for individuals and groups of individuals. Exercising can become a social phenomenon.
