Establishing Control Account / Chargeable Task Codes • Control Accounts (CAs) are the intersection between the WBS and OBS • This is the level that Control Account Managers (CAMs) are assigned responsibility • This is the level that variance thresholds apply that trigger when Variance Analysis Reports (VARs) have to be created • This is the highest level that costs are collected • Chargeable Tasks Codes (CTCs) level at which actual costs are collected • CTCs assigned no higher than the CA level • CTC is the level that labor time is charged at • CTC assigned to lowest level that helps in analyzing variances, or not mixing color of funds • CTC level lowest level for collecting actuals in Labs financial systems • Reporting level to DOE is to be agreed on between FPD and the Project 27-Jan-10 APUL WGM
Generic Variance Thresholds Thresholds may need to be revised to fit project size, added to PMP and approved by WGN/PMG 27-Jan-10 APUL WGM
