Learning Goals Unit 2 Guide What is the role of a citizen (in the U.S., of the world, in a local community)? • Describe several methods for becoming informed about candidates and public policy issues • Engage in informed and respectful deliberation and discussion of issues, events, and ideas. • Explain the role of government in various current events.

  6. How much do you know about the major presidential candidates? • Each slip of paper describes one candidate’s stance on an issue. • Work within your group to put the slips together and create a composite of both candidate’s views.
