18. Relationship Between Child Sexual Abuse Statutory Rape and Teen Pregnancy 65% of females age 13 or younger, 53% of 14 year olds, and 41% of 15 year olds are more likely to have experienced “Statutory Rape” at their first sexual experience.1
More than 20% of children are sexually abused before the age of 8, with the median age for reported sexual abuse being 9 years old.2
90% of sexual abusers of children are family members, people they trust or older/larger children they know. Only 10% are strangers. 2
