  2. KEHA Annual Reports • Summarize the impacts of KEHA programs across the state • Provide information that aides state educational chairmen in crafting and adapting programs and plans • Provide data for Cooperative Extension Service reports and success stories

  3. Cultural Arts & Heritage • 530 members assisted in reading to preschool children and 122 members were involved in programs teaching literacy skills to adults • 227 members sold craft items to support KEHA and community projects

  4. Environment, Housing & Energy • 1,635 KEHA members used water saving practices • 2,925 KEHA members recycle regularly • 840 KEHA members implemented energy saving practices

  5. 4-H Youth Development • KEHA members reported 65,285 volunteer service hours for youth activities • KEHA clubs and counties provided more than $16,000 in 4-H scholarships

  6. Family & Individual Development • 97 clubs held programs to demonstrate support for military families • 2,081 members made at least one lifestyle change to improve health

  7. Food, Nutrition & Health • 8,483 children were served by food backpack programs coordinated and/or supported by KEHA • Approximately 5,500 members changed their diets to improve health • Approximately 2,000 members exercised regularly

  8. International • $6,900 was donated through “Coins for Change” • $4,500 was raised for the Kentucky Academy in Adjeikrom, Ghana • 1,147 KEHA members participated in a special club project related to the International chairmanship

  9. Leadership Development • More than 3,400 KEHA members participated in leadership training at the club, county or area level • More than 3,000 members reported volunteered time for Extension-sponsored events and activities totaling 227,000 hours • Clubs, counties and areas awarded scholarships totaling more than $37,500

  10. Management & Safety • 1,512 KEHA members indicated using Extension resources in making financial decisions • 2,787 KEHA members reported using fall prevention techniques learned through KEHA programs

  11. KEHA Report Deadlines: • July 1 – club program of work reports are due to the county educational chairmen • August 15 – county program of work reports are due to the area educational chairmen • September 15 – area program of work reports are due to the state educational chairmen
