  2. Purpose The questions were developed with a purpose in mind: As our numbers dwindle, how can we continue to flourish and to celebrate our school, our friendships, our traditions and our memories?

  3. Participants • WHO - all active Gulf Park College Alumnae with email addresses & through Facebook & GPC website. • DATA - The narratives (comments) reflect a consensus of all view points for each question. All Yes, No, and Maybe answers were recorded. Comments not related to specific questions are included as General Comments.  ALL RESPONSES were recorded verbatim in order not to disturb the intent, content, or voice.

  5. Survey Question #1 Do you agree that, to protect the liability of those who maintain the membership, treasury, newsletter production, and reunion planning, we need to incorporate….to have by-laws that give us guidance and support in the years to come ?

  7. Survey Question # 2 Do you agree that a 501-c- 3 should provide the umbrella we need to maintain our bank account and to designate how our membership funds should be allocated when, or if, the organization dissolves ?

Survey Question # 3 Would you like to see the reunion held at another time of year on the Gulf coast….in the springtime when the azaleas are in bloom and the temperatures are still pleasant enough to spend out of doors…or in the autumn, when all of the families have returned home from their vacations at the beach and are settled back into the school year?

A membership directory available by e-mail, & an updated roster • A newsletter with more alum input • Class captains for recruiting, communicating & maintaining roster • Seasonal changes for reunion • Wider variety of reunion activities • More reunion activities on campus • A clear vision/plan for the future of our association • More alum participation, including HS • Strong legal foundation for the association
