Indirect Objects An indirect object is a noun, pronoun, or word group that sometimes appears in sentences containing direct objects. IO’s tell to whom, to what, for whom, or for what the action of the verb is done. If a sentence has an indirect object, it has a direct object as well.
Subject Complements*Write in your grammar section.* A subject complement is a word or group of words in the predicate that identifies or describes the subject. A subject complement is connected to the subject by a linking verb. Two types of subject complements are predicate nominatives and predicate adjectives.

Predicate Nominatives A predicate nominative is a word or group of words in the predicate that identifies the subject. In other words, it renames the subject.
