  3. Overview of Training Series 1 SLT two-day training

  4. What came before this session? SLT and State Network of Educators (SNE) complete Sessions 1 and 2, which introduce the Digital Library and the Quality Criteria. Educators join state teams committed to developing the Digital Library. Formative Assessment Advisory Panel (FAAP) convenes to develop the Quality Criteria. Governing States approve the Formative Assessment Master Work Plan, which outlines the development of the Digital Library. SLT members participate in two days of in-person professional development.

Formative Assessment Process Defined Formative assessment is a deliberate processused by teachers and students during instruction that provides actionable feedback that is used to adjust ongoing teaching and learning strategies to improve students’ self-assessment, reflection and attainment of curricular learning targets/goals.
