Support for wide characters in HDF5 • The HDF Group received two related requests: • Mathworks: • Support wide character file names • H5Py Developers (and Python community) • Support UTF-32 encoding for strings in HDF5 • Link names (groups, datasets) • Attribute names • Raw data • Implications: • HDF5 library, wrappers, command-line tools, HDFView, backward/forward compatibility HDF Briefing to NASA
