  6. Safety aspects for activities Emmanuel PAULAT - EN/ACE

J.MEIGNAN

  9. LS2 – Open days • 14/09 and 15/09 • No visits on SPS sites (but passage through BA3 to access BAF3) • Resources may be needed to prepare these open-days (week 37) • BA3 / BA6: • Visits CCC + LHC1 • Sites need to be as clean as possible J.MEIGNAN

  11. Message from Cedric Halbert • The storage tent currently located in front of BA7 will be dismantled and removed next Tuesday (the 10th September) J.MEIGNAN

  12. Integration + Decabling • Integration: during the last ICL it was reminded that your 3D models should be completed and up to date to prevent as much as possible the on-site clashes not visible in the integration models. • Decabling: please keep in mind that LS2 is the perfect window to continue the identification of your obsolete cables, to prepare the de-cabling campaigns afterwards (BA1, BA2). J.MEIGNAN

  13. Working underground Reminder • Nobody is supposed to work alone in the tunnel • All contractors and CERN employee have to bring their own material to do their works. • When the works are finished, the worksite has to be as clean as possible J.MEIGNAN

  14. IMPACTS Please fill out your IMPACTs correctly!!!!! • Correct intervention period: DO NOT LEAVE IT BLANK!!!!!!! • (LS2-SPS-2018/2020) • Do not leave proposed schedule Blank!!!! • I am not psychic!!! • If you clone an IMPACT: • Check the dates are correct • Check the location is correct • Check the description is correct (not just the title) • Basically, CHECK EVERYTHING!!!! • If you have already completed your IMPACT them please check that the dates in IMPACT match that of your planning and are also correct in the master schedule planning. • If they are not then please contact me so that we can rectify the problem. • IMPACTs should be for specific tasks and not just a general IMPACT valid from the start of the shutdown until the end • Only write an IMPACT for upcoming works (within the next couple of months) J.MEIGNAN

  15. IMPACT Statistics - (LS2-SPS-2018/2020) • Number of IMPACTS “Waiting for Approval” Last meeting:60Today:57 • Number of IMPACTS “Approved” Last meeting:22Today:19 • Number of IMPACTS “In Progress” Last meeting:106Today:131 • Number of IMPACTs “Late” Last meeting:56Today:76 • Number of IMPACTs “Closed” Last meeting:910Today:943 • Total Number of IMPACTsLast meeting:1154Today:1210 J.MEIGNAN

  16. External Visitors • If you have any external personnel needing to access the SPS for visits before starting works then you need to read the following document: "Etapes à suivre pour organiser des visites professionnelles dans les installations du CERN" by CHRISTELLE GAIGNANT • Link: https://edms.cern.ch/document/1281098/LAST_RELEASED J.MEIGNAN

  17. External Visitors • PPE mandatory for each visitor (S.CHERAULT): • Closed shoes or safety shoes are mandatory for everyone • Helmet and frontal lamp are mandatory for everyone • Everyone shall carry a self rescue mask. The CERN personnel with the visitor group shall be able to coach the visitor to put the mask on, in case. It is better to have with you some self rescue mask trainer. • For some area like AWAKE, it is even better to have one visitor and one CERN member. • For the RP aspects, everyone shall wear an operational dosimeter with the IMPACT number. Be aware of the registration process in advance (+token). J.MEIGNAN

  24. On-line course "controlled area refresher" needed to access SPS or NA target area • In order to keep your access to SPS (all access points) in 2019, you must complete, preferably before the end of August 2019, the online course “Controlled area – refresher” on lms.cern.ch: https://lms.cern.ch/ekp/servlet/ekp?CID=EKP000040626&TX=FORMAT1 • In case you have not yet done the pre-requisites below, you will have to do these online courses first: Access to the RP controlled area in the SPS (J.M. Jiménez) LS2C meeting on the 28th June 2019 J.M. Jiménez reminded that the training requirements to access the RP controlled areas of the SPS will be in place from 1st September 2019. He informed that the transition period of 6 months to fulfil the training needs is getting over by 1st September. The HSE unit is checking the availability of the training course. J.MEIGNAN
