Galactic, with the LOOPLA prosess: LOOPLA is a new and unique process based on a chemical recycling of PLA back into lactic acid. used PLA (post-Industrial or post-consumer) is mechanically pretreated, before entering into a reactor. The product is converted back into a crude lactic acid through thermal depolymerization. After a couple of purifications, lactic acid is obtained and can be recycled to make a virgin PLA with a yield close to 100%. Good practice(3)

11. The Van Gansewinkel Groep (NL): their slogan is Waste no more They want to play an ever-increasing role in the collection and recycling of C2C-certified products, with the objective of bringing essential nutrients and raw materials back into use. The company provides return systems. It has several C2C-certified partners - including Van Houtum Papier, Mosa (tiles), Desso (carpets), Philips (electronics) - with whom it closely cooperates in closing the product cycle. Product is based on the recyled materials, in addition to C2C paper is also carbon neutral and has obtained FSC certificate and EU Eco label. The C2CN is an INTERREG IVC project capitalisation/fast track network 10 partners co-operate: NL, BE, UK, FI, FR, AT, IT, RO HU, SI The goals: Creating a European platform for gathering and disseminating knowledge on C2C; Drawing up plans of Action plans, in which we demonstrate how C2C can be implemented; Establishing links with regional policy objectives, specifically with regional competitiveness and employment targets; Promoting regional stakeholder involvement. The priorities (target areas) selected are: Industry Area-specific spatial development Building design Governance. Creating Cradle2Cradle network

14. Two phases: Phase 1 mainly focuses on the transferability of the already identified good practices within the selected priorities (target areas). Phase 2 addresses the development of regional actions plans, which are supported by both regional and joint activities. In the end, the project produces 10 regional action plans, a Good Practice Handbook and a Guide on Waste Management & C2C, which is also of great value for other parties concerned outside the partnership.
