How old he was • He was 22 when the French and Indian war happened. • His ranking was Colonel. • He warned his soldiers that he thought the French was going to surprise attack the fort or try to kidnap or kill him on July 3. • They were almost done building Fort Necessity.
How long he was in the war • George was in the French and Indian war from 1755 to 1758. • In that time he had been a colonel .
The Battle of Fort Necessity • George Washington had failed to seize “ The Forks” and fled to Fort Necessity. He tried to warn his men the French were to attack soon. What made matters worse was that his reinforcements had not come yet. The fight was a disaster. He had to sign a peace treaty with the French.
George wins George Washington won after five years. In the end a truce was made. England now owned everything from the artic ocean to the Gulf of Mexico, and from the Atlantic to the Mississippi.
