  1. Board 6 Rating Process2012-2013

  2. CLARIFICATIONS Why do we have to have two different rating systems? • Because we need to guarantee that each Board 6 member gets rated on every game he/she works. THE ARBITER provides us the option to track that each member rates his/her partner, but not anyone who you observe. Board 6 Ratings website will provide the opportunity to rate everyone that you observe working an assigned Board 6 game. What type of security is there to prevent rating multiple times? • We can not legislate INTEGRITY. We trust our members and we hope that you rate an official once per game. Now, if you observe an official working several times you can rate that official on each game that you see him/her (only on Board 6 Ratings website).

  3. What happens if you need assistance using the computer? • You MUST contact Jose, Jay, or Ken ASAP. Number of days to rate? When is the reminder? What is the fine? • The ARBITER is set to send a reminder after 2 days of the game. We do not have reminders in Board 6 Ratings website. In both websites, you will have 5 days to rate a fellow official. • Fines are losing assignments for the 2013-14 season if you do not complete your respective ratings on THE ARBITER. However, we expect that each Board 6 member complies with their professional responsibilityand completes all of their ratings on bothwebsites.

  4. How Do I Rate? • THE ARBITER to rate your partners, OR, • http://ratings.iaabo6.org in order to rate any Board 6 that you observe working, except for your partners.

  5. The Arbiter After I have logged-in on THE ARBITER, what do I need to do? • Click on Evaluation tab. • Click on Start. • Input your data. FOR EACH CATEGORY, IF YOU GIVE A SCORE OF 6 or BELOW YOU MUST WRITE AN EXPLANATION/COMMENT. IT IS EXPECTED THAT ANY COMMENTS ARE BASED ON THE DEFINITION PROVIDED BY EACH CATEGORY. IF YOU DO NOT INPUT ALL THIS INFO, THE SYSTEM WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO SUBMIT YOUR RATING. • Click Submit.

  6. Usernames and passwords will be the same as last year. If you changed your email in Arbiter before November, the email will be changed in the ratings system and have the same password as last year. If you are new to the system or forgot your password, use the "Forgot Password" or "Setup Account/Password" links.

  7. IAABO 6 Website • Click ADD RATING (top of the page). • Select level of the game to be evaluated. • Select the name of the official to be evaluated. • Using the calendar, put date of the game. • Input: Home Team/Visiting Team. • Submit your score by category on scale of 1 to 10. • EACH CATEGORY has a different weight: APPEARANCE: 10% MECHANICS: 10% TEAMWORK: 20% JUDGEMENT: 30% GAME MANAGEMENT: 30%
