  11. Periods of Greek History A.Minoan (2700-1450 BCE) • Located on Crete: an island southeast of Greece • Rich culture & far-ranging sea trade

Then he died. • Alexander the Great (his son) spread Greek culture as he conquered territory – thus blending the two (Hellen-EAST-ic) • Philosophy, sculpture, science & math
