Provincial Demand SetMarch 22, 23 • It is time for our wages to reflect the professional work we do. • The contracting out of our work must stop. • Academic decisions in our classrooms must be made by faculty. • Workload formulas must reflect our actual workload, no matter how the courses are taught. • We need more Full-Time faculty. • We need job security and defined workloads for Partial-Load faculty. Question Q: Can the College Employer Council bring an offer directly to the general membership for a vote?
Colleges Collective Bargaining Act (CCBA) Vote on Council’s offer 17. (2) The Council may, no earlier than 15 days before the expiry of a collective agreement, make a request in writing to the Ontario Labour Relations Board that a vote of the employees be taken to accept or reject the offer of the Council last received by the employee organization in respect of all matters remaining in dispute between the parties to the collective agreement. (emphasis added)
