  2. Antecedentes • La Adenoidectomía es la cirugía más común en ONG en niños con Otitis media. • No existe una revisión sistemática de la efectividad de la adenoidectomía

  3. Objetivo • Evaluar la efectividad de la adenoidectomía vs timpanostomía en niños con otitis media

  4. Criterios de selección • Estudios aleatorizados que comparan adenoidectomía con o sin tubos de timpanostomía vs manejo no quirúrgico con tubos de ventilación en niños

  5. Resultados • Se encontraron 14 estudios con 2712 niños • Adenoidectomía es efectiva en el tratamiento de la Otitis media • Estudios son heterogéneos para ser incluidos en un meta-análisis

  6. Conclusiones • Buscar etiología alérgica • Tratamiento antihistamínico previo a cirugía
