Introduction(Contd) • Eban Foundation-registered as a non-profit organization on November 28th 2011. • ‘Eban’=fence in the Akan language. Symbolic meaning - fort that gives protection. • Vision is to be a leading distributor of Christian literature in Ghana. • Current outlook -evangelize through printing and distribution of devotionals and through radio broadcast.
Introduction • Founded by a group of staff members of HFC Bank Ghana Limited. • Born out of need to have a permanent devotional available to the group during Morning devotion. • Group contacted UCB International in 2010 • Redirected to African Office subsequently. • Presently, given the license to print The Word For Today(TWFT) in Ghana.
Eban’s First Print • Printed 2,700 copies of the May –July edition of the TWFD. • The cost of printing was sponsored by the members of the Foundation. • Copies distributed to 26 branches of HFC Bank country wide • Members of some Churches including Accra Ridge Church and several others.
Current Projects • Currently Eban is working to print the August –October edition of TWFT. The expected copies to be printed is 4,000. • Radio version of TWFT is starting on July 1st,2012 on Spring 102.7 FM.
Future work • Eban hopes to set up a radio station God willing in 2013. • It will faithfully raise funds from various groups, churches and individuals to print more copies for the rest of Ghana. • We hope we can raise additional funds through the audio version of the TWFT.
Future work(Contd) • Target market will be the Youth • Print the Youth Version of The Word for Today in 2013
Challenges • Expanding sources of funds • Permanent staff for the Foundation
