PEAK FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 29th January 2012 (WEEK 5) • All demographics experienced a PUT decline YOY with AP 18-39 hardest hit down 8%, AP 25-54 and AP 18-49 down 5%, followed by AP5+, down 4%. • Friday night was the only night of the week that experienced PUT growth against AP 5+ recording a 1% lift. TV ONE HIGHLIGHTS AP 25-54 • A good week for TV ONE with both audience and share gains weekly (to 7.9 ratings and 23.3% share). Year on year, both audience & share losses were reported although its off the back of a 3 year high share of 27 in 2011. • Friday & Saturday nights showed the highest weekly lift of 27% and 100% respectively as we aired the Rugby Sevens across both nights. • Year to date, TV ONE’s average audience is sitting at 7.8, compared to 9.0 in 2011. • Five shows are in the top 10 programmes this week. • The week’s best buy was Tuesday’s Frozen Planet with a CPT of $484.50 Source: Nielsen TAM
TV2 HIGHLIGHTS AP 18-39 • TV2 gained both audience and share this week up 5% and 6% respectively (to 7.7 rating and 26.6% share). Yearly, both audience and share have experienced losses. • Wednesday night experienced the highest weekly lift of 81%, a result of the strong performance from the Big Bang Theory marathon. • TV2’s average audiences are sitting at 7.0 compared to 8.5 last year. • 8 of the top 10 programmes were on TV2 this week. • The week’s best buy was Wednesday’s F.R.I.E.N.D.S with a CPT of $537.50 Source: Nielsen TAM
tvnz.co.nz PERFORMANCE • For Week 5, tvnz.co.nz Page Impressions are down 1% year on year with Unique Browsers up 5% for the same week last year. • Year to Date, Page impressions on tvnz.co.nz have grown by 13% year on year, with Unique Browsers growing 23% on a yearly basis.
